WASTEWATER DRAINAGE AND TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY

1. Major/Career Description
The profession of Wastewater Drainage and Treatment Technician is about controlling, operating, and maintaining drainage networks and wastewater treatment plants/stations; monitoring wastewater quality during the treatment process, meeting the requirements of Level 5 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.

2. Job Positions
Wastewater Drainage and Treatment Technicians are often assigned to the following positions: Drainage network operation; Drainage network maintenance; Operation, maintenance of drainage pump stations; Wastewater treatment plant operation; Wastewater treatment plant maintenance; Monitoring the quality of the wastewater treatment process.

3. Key Responsibilities of the Major/Career
Wastewater Drainage and Treatment Technicians are responsible for: Operating, controlling, adjusting, and supervising processes in the drainage network and water treatment plants; Inspecting and regularly maintaining piping systems and equipment; Analyzing water and sludge to monitor water treatment effectiveness and quality management; Assessing the severity of incidents and applying appropriate corrective measures; Consolidating, storing data, and implementing measures to ensure quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and resource and energy savings.

4. Training Program
The Wastewater Drainage and Treatment Technician program includes 44 modules and 155 credits. The training duration is 2.5 years. Practical training accounts for 67.7%. Learners are equipped with knowledge and skills in: controlling, operating, maintaining, and servicing drainage networks and wastewater treatment plants, analyzing water and sludge to monitor water treatment effectiveness and quality management; Assessing the severity of incidents and applying corrective measures; Consolidating, storing data, and implementing measures to ensure quality and occupational safety.

CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

1. Current Status of Demand and Human Resources in the Construction Industry
The Construction – Architecture industry in Thừa Thiên Huế province is currently developing in parallel with infrastructure development and the real estate market. Many large-scale projects and urban areas are currently being built or are about to be built in the province, such as the Vincom Commercial Center Complex and 5-star Vinpearl Hotel project; the Hue Plaza project; VNPT; An Vân Dương, Đông Nam Thủy An, An Cựu City urban areas, etc. In addition, some high-end projects that were temporarily suspended have also begun to be reinvested, such as the Sông Đà – Thăng Long Uhotel project; the Supermarket and high-rise office building project at 02 Nguyễn Tri Phương; the office, commercial, hotel, and luxury apartment project on Hà Nội – Lý Thường Kiệt street, etc. . Construction projects are increasingly invested in, however, currently Thừa Thiên Huế province in particular and Vietnam in general still suffer from a shortage of qualified College and Intermediate level Technicians to meet construction demand.

According to statistics on the Construction – Architecture – Environment sector, the nationwide demand for trained personnel is: Elementary level and no degree account for 38%; Intermediate level accounts for 33%; College level accounts for 16%; University level accounts for 12%; and Postgraduate level accounts for 1%. However, in reality, the number of laborers with College and Intermediate vocational degrees currently only accounts for about 11.8%, which is only 1/4 of the industry’s demand. This leads to the current widespread situation of having too many managers and not enough skilled workers on construction sites. Additionally, untrained workers account for a high percentage while College and Intermediate level staff are very low, resulting in many large construction projects having untrained workers filling the roles of College and Intermediate level technicians.

Therefore, to address the urgent human resource demand in the Construction – Architecture sector in the province and across the country, developing a source of College and Intermediate level Construction Technicians to meet market demand is an urgent requirement today.

Recognizing the urgent need for human resources in the Construction – Architecture sector in the area, since 2010 Hue Industrial College has organized training in Construction Engineering Technology at the College and Intermediate vocational levels to meet the socio-economic development requirements of Thừa Thiên Huế province, the Central Highlands region, and the entire country. 1. Major Description

The Interior Decoration training program provides learners with practical knowledge and skills, enabling them to grasp the workflow from design to construction in the specialized field of construction carpentry and interior decoration, read and implement relevant technical drawings, operate various types of machinery, tools, and some specialized equipment in construction carpentry and interior decoration. Learners themselves can execute some basic interior products or participate in teams and organize teams to construct building interior projects.

2.Job Positions

– Participate in design deployment, detailed drawing fabrication, installation, and repair of interior decorations at design and interior construction companies.
– Work at specialized construction agencies.
– Interior construction supervision

3.Key Responsibilities of the Major

Read design drawings for wooden interior products, and construction interior design drawings;
Operate various types of machinery, tools, and some specialized equipment in construction carpentry and interior decoration;
Use specialized machinery and equipment to manufacture wooden interior products
Meet the requirements for acquiring professional education knowledge and learning capability, ensuring sufficient knowledge to continue inter-level studies at a higher training level.

– Methods and principles in the culinary art of preparing European – Asian – Vietnamese dishes.
– Regulations on occupational safety and hygiene.
– Basic knowledge of management and work organization in the culinary arts technique profession.
– Management of food service establishments in the market.
– Management, inspection, and evaluation of food and beverage service quality.
– Designing and arranging a production/service shift in the kitchen area.
– Defining norms for labor, raw materials, and costs to ensure production efficiency.
