HueIC Trade Union hosts “WOMEN IN TVET: Digital Skills – Digital Pedagogy – Digital Leadership” Workshop

To celebrate the 95th Anniversary of the Vietnam Women’s Union, on the afternoon of October 19, 2025, the Trade Union of Hue Industrial College (HueIC) successfully organized the workshop titled “Women in TVET: Digital Skills – Digital Pedagogy – Digital Leadership”.

The event aimed to pay tribute to and honor the contributions of female faculty, staff, and employees in teaching, research, and community service. Simultaneously, it provided updates on trends in digital skills, digital pedagogy, and digital leadership within the context of digital transformation in vocational education (TVET).

Attending the workshop were:

  • Mr. Le Van Luan – Deputy Secretary in charge of the Party Committee, Chairman of the School Council, and Vice Rector;
  • Mr. Tran Tien Dung – Chairman of the College Trade Union;
  • Along with all female officials and employees of the college.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Le Van Luan highly appreciated the efforts and dedication of the female workforce. He affirmed that the college would continue to create favorable conditions for women to promote their leadership roles and foster innovation in vocational education aligned with digital transformation.

Also at the workshop, Dr. Thai Huynh Phuong Lan from Ton Duc Thang University presented on “Gender Equality in the Digital Era.” Her presentation focused on analyzing new opportunities and challenges for women in teaching, research, and administration, while suggesting policy recommendations to promote gender equality in vocational education institutions in the current digital age.

The presentations by two speakers from HueIC – MSc. Duong Ngoc Duy and MSc. Dau Thi Thanh Nga (Faculty of Information Technology & Digital Economy) – provided attendees with practical knowledge and skills regarding the application of AI tools in teaching and research. The shared content helped lecturers optimize the process of compiling lectures and developing detailed syllabi more quickly, conveniently, and effectively.

Although the “Women in TVET: Digital Skills – Digital Pedagogy – Digital Leadership” workshop has concluded, the resonance of knowledge and the spirit of honoring HueIC women continue to spread. The College and the Trade Union are committed to fostering an equitable environment that encourages innovation, empowering every female official, lecturer, and staff member to constantly enhance their digital capabilities, digital pedagogy, and digital leadership. Together, they will join hands to drive HueIC’s sustainable development in the era of digital transformation
